On the last weekend of October, Etagi will open its doors to one of the biggest vegan festivals in town
This weekend, vegans and non-vegans alike can look forward to a festival to enrich their lives. Vegans in St Petersburg are putting together a festival in celebration of World Vegan Day. The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8pm.
The event will feature over a dozen talks from local and international vegan figures. They range from discussions on the environmental crisis to advice on practicing the vegan lifestyle even for athletes. There will also be talks on vegan businesses. Representatives of Vita, the largest animal rights organisations in Russia, will also be there as part of the organisational team.
Those interested in leading a creative vegan life can also look forward to various workshops on vegan cooking and Henna tattooing.
As far as cooking goes, there’s a total of 10 cooking workshop, five on each day. Whether it’s pizza or creme brulee, creating vegan milk or spring rolls, making a quick vegan meal or something gourmet like carpaccio made of chanterelles, there’s definitely a class for everyone. There will also be activities for kids, like decoupage and making bath bombs! Visitors can also participate in creating their own skincare products.
There will also be a lottery raffle on both days, a book exchange, fashion shows, competitions, and even a speed dating event at 6.30 pm on Sunday where single participants can go on 10 dates in an hour.
Even if you aren’t vegan, it’s a great way to spend the day and try some new food! It’s perfect for those who are health conscious, eco-friendly, or just looking for something new to experience. It’s free of charge and will be set in the trendy Etagi, so it should be entertaining for all ages.
